Amanda Ansell’s ‘Willow Land 1‘ has been selected for the 244th Royal Academy Summer Exhibition. Hung in the grand main Gallery III space, Willow Land 1 was selected by the co-ordinator for 2012, Tess Jaray RA. The Gallery III exhibition space features mainly small works of art by emerging and established contemporary artists. Tess Jaray says, “The ‘wave’ that undulates through this gallery gives a rhythm and energy to the exhibits. Visitors are invited to follow its form, which from a distance appears to be an intriguing pattern but at close range allows each work to be clearly viewed, without any sense of hierarchy.” Willow Land 1 is the first painting in a series of new work by Amanda. The Summer Exhibition continues until the 12th August 2012.
